App concept

Home Workout Planner app concept

A no-equipment workout planner with a simple weekly schedule and a session player designed to be read from across the room.

Conceptual interface created to illustrate a potential mobile product experience. This is not a published application.

Concept overview

The idea behind Home Workout Planner

The planner screen keeps choices minimal: this week's sessions, their length and a single start button. Once a session begins, the interface switches to a high-contrast player with a large timer and progress bar.

Controls are oversized for use mid-exercise, and the next exercise is always visible so users can prepare without touching the phone.

UX considerations

Design decisions worth noting

  • The primary action is reachable with one thumb
  • Typography stays readable with larger system text
  • Colour communicates state, never meaning alone
  • Empty states explain what to do first
